On this episode of “The Jeff Fenster Show,” legendary NFL quarterback Drew Brees sits down with Jeff and explains the big and little things that have made all of the difference to his success on and off the field.
Brees explains how he had to learn to trust the process and focus on the light at the end of the tunnel when faced with terrible injuries, most notably the one he suffered while playing with the San Diego Chargers. The shoulder injury cost him his job and left him with only two teams interested in signing him, but his passion and drive to overcome the pain and the doubters brought him to an all-new level of success.

During the conversation, the 2010 Super Bowl Champion and MVP emphasizes the importance of having faith and developing gratitude and describes how success in one area of your life doesn’t live in a silo. “The way you do anything is the way you do everything,” he says. Brees encourages listeners to “fight for every inch,” meaning to develop every trait and attribute you can to help gain an edge. Success comes from understanding that there are many small pieces that will add up to the end goal.
